Terms of Service

1 Acceptance

By creating an account or using Captix ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Captix is a personal project built and operated by Jasheer Ali Paravath ("we", "us", "our").

2 What Captix does

Captix is a complete financial tracking tool for Indian residents and NRIs. It lets you:

• Track assets across Demat (stocks, ETFs, mutual funds), real estate, gold, fixed deposits, international investments, and more
• Record income, expenses, liabilities, and financial goals
• Import holdings from brokers like INDmoney, Groww, Zerodha, Angel One, Shoonya / Finvasia, and Upstox
• Fetch live market prices for Indian equities and ETFs
• Compute tax liability and financial health scores
• Track multi-currency holdings with live FX rates

Captix is not a financial advisor, broker, registered investment platform, or SEBI-registered entity. All data and calculations are for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial advice.

3 Your account

• You must provide accurate information when signing up (name, email).
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• One account per person. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for abuse.

4 Your data

You own all financial data you enter into Captix. We do not claim any ownership over it. You can export or delete your data at any time from Settings. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

5 Refund policy

All payments for Pro plans (6-Month, Yearly, or Lifetime) are non-refundable. Once a payment is processed, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. Please review the plan features carefully before upgrading.

6 Cancellation

You can cancel your Pro plan anytime from Settings. On cancellation:

• Pro features stay active until the end of your current period.
• Your account reverts to the Free tier — all your data is preserved, nothing is deleted.
• If you exceed Free tier limits (e.g. 10 assets when the limit is 5), existing data is kept but you cannot add new items until within limits or re-subscribed.
• You can re-subscribe anytime to restore full access.

To permanently delete your account and all data, go to Settings → Danger Zone. This is immediate and irreversible.

7 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful activity.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its APIs.
• Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the Service.

8 Disclaimer

Captix is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfectly accurate calculations, or that live prices will always be correct. Live stock prices are sourced from Yahoo Finance and may be delayed. Captix is not a substitute for professional financial advice. Always verify important financial decisions independently.

9 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Captix and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service — including but not limited to reliance on any price data, calculations, or tax figures shown. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding any claim.

10 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of Captix after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Kerala, India.
